In March 2002, Waynesboro Players established the Lillian Perkins Morse Scholarship Fund to benefit students who will pursue an interest in the performing arts through higher education. Lillian was a champion of young people and the Players wish to carry on her legacy through this Fund. Your contribution will help to ensure its continuation. The Waynesboro Players are pleased and proud to announce the 2006-07 winner of the Lillian Perkins Morse Scholarship is Chris Martin. Awarded each year to a deserving high school graduate planning to continue their love of the performing arts and drama, the scholarship is made in memory of Lillian Morse, whose legacy remains a driving force and inspiration to all involved in the performing arts.
Chris is a graduate of Waynesboro High School, and has been very active with not only the Waynesboro Players, but Shenanarts, Shenandoah Valley Governor's School, Waynesboro High School Drama, and Stuart Hall Middle School Drama. Chris will be a freshman in college this fall with hopes of continuing to pursue his love of theater.
