Lillian Perkins Morse Scholarship 2008

(l to r) Joe Morse, husband of the late Lillian Perkins Morse, scholarship recipients Victoria Ray and Emily Romig, and Waynesboro Players president Charlie Lawson.

The Waynesboro Players are pleased and proud to announce that the 2008 Lillian Perkins Morse Scholarship Award has been awarded to both Victoria Ray of Stuarts Draft and Emily Romig of Staunton. Candidates for the scholarship must show good academic standards, an involvement in community, a love of theater and the arts, and have been part of the Waynesboro Players organization.

Victoria Ray is a graduate of Stuarts Draft High School and the Govenor's School and is planning on attending college to pursue and further her love of theater and the arts.

Emily Romig is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and is planning on attending college this fall to pursue her love of theater, the arts, and history.

The awards were presented recently at a bonfire reunion of the cast and crew from the Waynesboro Players' production of Peter Pan, which debuted earlier in the year.
