The Waynesboro Players are pleased and proud to announce that
the 2008 Lillian Perkins Morse Scholarship Award has been awarded
to both Victoria Ray of Stuarts Draft and Emily Romig of Staunton. Candidates for the scholarship must show good academic standards,
an involvement in community, a love of theater and the arts, and have
been part of the Waynesboro Players organization.
Victoria Ray is a graduate of Stuarts Draft High School and the Govenor's
School and is planning on attending college to pursue and further her love of
theater and the arts.
Emily Romig is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and is planning on
attending college this fall to pursue her love of theater, the arts, and
history.
The awards were presented recently at a bonfire reunion of the cast and crew
from the Waynesboro Players' production of Peter Pan, which debuted
earlier
in the year.
