WAYNESBORO PLAYERS ELECT NEW OFFICERS

The Waynesboro Players recently elected officers of the organization. Re-elected for another three year term were: June Hall, vice president, Becky Price, secretary, and Bill Shook, treasurer. Former President Sandi Belcher was presented a gift of appreciation for her three years of service as president.

Charlie Lawson was elected as the new president of the WP. Charlie brings to the organization 26 years of community theater experience. "My first involvement with the Waynesboro Players was spending evenings for six weeks cutting out palm tree leaves for South Pacific, which the Waynesboro Players did in the late '70s. I've been hooked on theater ever since!"

Also at the meeting, Board Member Mary Alice Downs was moved to a well-deserved emeritus status and congratulated for her years of faithful and dedicated service. Downs plans to continue to stay active with the Players, and offer her musical talents and theater experience.
