Waynesboro Players Launch New Website

The Waynesboro Players is pleased to announce the launch of www.waynesboroplayers.org.

The WP is coming together on the Web and hope to bring to our community an informative and insightful collaboration of facts, photos, and stories about the Waynesboro Players and the communities that supports our efforts.

"There is a drive to give more than just basic information...we want to show the spirit of the volunteers and members who keep the Players organization alive," said Board member and Webmaster Patrick Smith.  The Website is an ever developing extension of the WP and will grow to reflect the richness and diversity of its' history.

The Waynesboro Players are asking for submissions from the community as well says Smith, "So many people have given their time and effort to the theater over the years and everyone I've worked with has great stories to tell. Too many funny or poignant things get lost to time. We want to publish those stories on the Web." There are other areas, including links and local information and news, where the Players will accept submissions relating to the community, arts, and theater. Submissions can be made via email to playersnotes@waynesboroplayers.org.

The launch of the Website gives the Players, as an organization, a continuous voice and link both to and from the community. The web allows the WP to provide detailed information of the show season and the theater company that are difficult to provide through any other type of media.  The Waynesboro Players are excited to bring the organization to the Internet.
