Written by Bob Larbey, a delightful and
poignant comedy from the writer of The Good Life and A Fine
Romance.
Directed by Claire Hensley
Produced by June Hall and Becky Price
This gently amusing and moving play about old age revolves
around Cooper and Aylott, two residents in a nursing home. Cooper is
physically disabled but mentally alert. His best friend Aylott is
physically fine, but suffering from the onset of dementia. Cooper is very
unhappy about the way he is treated and deals with everyone very cynically,
except for Aylott and one nurse. He especially has trouble dealing with his
daughter and her husband. As Aylott's condition continues to deteriorate,
Cooper must learn to make the best of what life has to offer as well as come
to terms with this family. This gentle comedy is both funny and poignant.
